This month’s Canine Cocktails dog happy hour at the San Diego Hotel Indigo was the best yet. More dogs, bigger dogs, smaller dogs, and more PUPPIES! This is seriously the best social event in San Diego that you can bring your dog to; your dog will have so much fun that they’ll think they’ve died and gone to heaven. Local vendors like City Dog San Diego, DOGTV, and LOTUS9 Designs were on-hand, showcasing their latest and greatest.
This was the first Canine Cocktails event that I had a booth at, and I used it to display some of my massive 20×30 and 30×40 standout prints. The detail on these prints is strikingly life-like, so much so that a beagle discovered the 30×40 print of Razi and started barking at it like it was a real dog looming over the crowd.
Chopper was on-hand this time to assist/undermine my photos by sneaking in at the last minute and gobbling up the delicious treats I was using to get everyone’s attention. Chopper has perfected the art of acquiring schnacks™ over the equivalent of 90 human years, and so I shouldn’t have been surprised to see a giant orange blob move into the corner of my viewfinder every time I was trading treats for doggy portraits. Razi hung out with the dog park locals over on the grass lawn–yes, the Hotel Indigo even has a lawn on their 9th floor terrace for your pooch to do his thing. A good time was had by all.
